While I was in NYC I trained at the Gold’s in manhattan. As you know i love touring the Golds gyms of the world. The sad fact is i usually plan my holidays around Golds Gym locations (what a saddo).
The really big difference between the UK and the USA is how forward the Americans are. In the UK i often see people sneakily watching me train when eye contact is made they usually look away embarrassed they were caught watching. Not so in America they just blatantly stare at you and then say something along the lines of GOD DAMN YOU HAVE SOME SERIOUS MUSCLE GIRL I LOVE WATCHING YOU. Not a hint of embarrassment like back home.
Americans just seem to love anything that is different. i often get starred at sometimes people are rude and sometimes people are very complimentary. My friend explained I should not get upset by peoples reaction as he said it is mostly down to shock at how i have developed a very unique physique and that i should take it as a compliment. If someone is rude to you or dismissive of you it says much more about them than you. It is good to be different it would be a boring world if we all looked and acted the same.
